Two days ago, you guys stepped up once again to show the world just how much we care about protecting the Internet. Together, we generated more than 140,000 calls to Senators, spent more than 4,200 hours on the phone with their staffers, and blacked out 650,000 of our blogs to make our point and inspire others to get involved. And what’s more, this was on top of the 90,000 calls we sent to members of the House of Representatives a month ago. Incredible.
It’s now becoming clear just how much impact our action is having. On January 18th, only 31 members of Congress opposed these bills. Just one day later, 101 members of Congress publicly stood with us in opposition. We are being heard.
And as of today, it looks like both the Senate PIPA and House SOPA bills have been shelved, for the moment. It seems pretty likely that the bills won’t pass as written—a big first win. We now hope that Internet companies, the creative community and the content industry join together to innovate and devise new partnerships to combat online piracy. We’re confident there are effective ways to do this without damaging the Internet or diminishing our freedoms.
You’ve made a big difference in keeping the Internet a safe and open place for creators. Thank you again.

WE WON THIS ROUND! SOPA and PIPA have been stopped! Congress decided to POSTPONE the trial! Most of the States senators called in AGAINST! :) 30 Million + people signed!!!!!

They are going to do everything they can to take away our rights and sooner or later it is going to be accomplished. Do you think the senators and stuff ACTUALLY listen to us? They get paid by lobbyists( who are probably government agents) to vote for what they want to. Sorry about the pessimism, but the bill will pass and if we revolt, they will just put us under Marshall law and put anyone in jail who disobeys.

And they aren't going to "die off" they are going to be censoring them so only the government can make changes to them, not shut them down. And google censoring their name didn't accomplish much. yeah there is a petition, but only people who are above 18 can sign petitions ad if there is even 1 person that signed that isn't over 18 the whole petition becomes invalid.
The reason wikipedia only blacked out the English version is cause most people use the english version, duh! And this bill gives Government the right to shut down WHOLE sites for ONE user’s copyrighted infringement! Believe me, the internet would seriously be done for! One person posts something idiotic on Facebook, now the government can shut down all of Facebook! Same goes with Youtube! If someone typed in “Free MP3 Songs” using Google, now Google is at fault, and will be shut down! Please do not ask a question on here and turn it into an argument, what I post is truly facts! If you still do not believe me, I will be GLAD to give you links to MANY sites, articles, etc.
